[April 14th, 2006]

My friend Bruce had tickets for the second
home game of the season on Wednesday, April 12,
versus the Toronto Blue Jays. It was a great night
for a game. We met at Copperfield's for beers and then
went into the Yawkee Way concourse and had huge hot dogs
at RemDawgs, the hot dog stand outside Fenway Park
owned by Sox announcer Jerry Remy.

The dogs were GREAT! The biggest you ever saw.
Then we went in and found our seats, up in the
grandstands behind third plate.

David Wells had a horriffic night and we lost the game.
But we had a great time.

Fenway Park looked great
with the new seats up behind Home Plate and the
and the new upper deck seats along the base lines.
I still hope some day to sit in the Monster seats
above the Green Monster.

Good time at RemDawg's In our seats

These last two pictures were taken late in the game. Earlier, every seat was filled.

The 2004 World Series Trophy passes on one of the duck boats, (look closely).

The Three Amigos
After the parade, me and my buddys went to a bar on Boylston St. However, the Police closed down the bar after only one round because the crowd was getting too rowdy.

One of the Duck Boats on the Charles River
After getting kicked out of the bar, we walked down to the Charles River and waited for the Parade to come by. Sorry these photos aren't better but I was using one of the cheap disposable cameras.
(Anyone want to buy me a digital with zoom? LOL)

Last Tuesday, December 21st, 2004, WEEI, the Red Sox Radio Station held an event for their sponsors, on the Skywalk, where I work, so they could see and have their picture taken with the 2004 World Series, Red Sox trophy. I managed to get my picture taken with it too. Here it is:

This sign was removed the day after the big win by Mass Hyway workers aided by Governor Romney and replaced with a new "Reverse Curve" sign.

Go SOX!
Check out this banner hanging in center court at the "Shops at the Prudential Center".

And even on the side of the Prudential Tower, it says "GO SOX" on the side of the Pru Tower on the side that faces Fenwway Park!

Me at a ballgame in 2002

I love to watch the Red Sox. Unfortunately I don't get to see that many games. My work hours preclude watching most of the games anyway.

I'd like to get to more games at Fenway Park but it's often hard to get tickets when you can't schedule very far in advance.

I've come to depend on the "net" to try to keep up with the team. I work on the Skywalk at the top of the Prudential Tower, where we have a great view into Fenway Park. During home games, we put the game's radio call on the speakers on the Skywalk so people watching the game can hear what's going on. We call it the Ultimate Skyboxes.

This page is included in the framework of allstondave's home page for future expansion. At present I do not have the time to maintain this page. Maybe when I retire! (LOL)
Sorry there's not more here.

Boston Dirt Dogs

In the "Boston Metro" daily newspaper, I just discovered the best Boston Red Sox Homepage!
Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Visit with Jerry Remy

Jerry Remy, TV color man for all broadcasts of Red Sox baseball on NESN has to be the hardest working man in baseball!
His wit enlivens every broadcast.
As the original "Dirt Dawg" Jerry now has various RemDog Tee Shirts for sale on his site.

RemDawg's

During Red Sox home games, Yawkee Way, the street adjacent to the first base side of Fenway Park, is turned into a Sox fan concourse, complete with food stalls, beer stands, usually NESN's pregame show live and usually a terrible but fun live band. One of the most popular, and my favorite, is Rem Dawgs. They sell the biggest hot dogs you have ever seen, and boy, are they good.
