Skyline from a DuckTour Boat

From the Copley Plaza, there is an enclosed footbridge, that crosses over Huntington Avenue,Hamster Runconnecting Copley Plaza an d the Mar- riott Hotel to the Prudential Center. Some call it the "hamster tube."

The Prudential Center includes The Prudential Tower, home of Gillette's corporate offices, Classic Rock radio station, WZLX and on the 52nd and 50th floors, The Top of the Hub, Restaurant and Skywalk, which is where I work. It also includes three residential buildings, New England's largest underground parking garage, and the The Shops at the Prudential Center. This exciting mall contains over seventy stores, pushcarts and restaurants. There is always something going on at this mall from lunchtime concerts to activities for the kids.

Prudential
Center

Out behind the Prudential Center is the departure point for the Boston Duck Tours.

Duck Boats This entertaining 90 minute tour around Boston in converted World War II amphibious landing craft (or DUCKs) includes all the historical sites around downtownSplashdown narrated by the outrageous conDUCKtors. Then it's Splashdown as you plunge into the Charles River for a different view of the city.

On the South side of the Center is the new 111 Huntington Avenue Building.

111 Huntington Avenue This beautiful glass tower is home to the offices of Fidelity, among others. It was built in only about two and one-half years. I like to think of it as the "Jewel of the Back Bay".

Just in front of the 111, is the 11 story Belvedere - home of Million Dollar Condominiums.

Just across Boylston Street from the Pru are a number of great Nightspots and Restaurants. Cactus Club Among them are the The Cactus Club, winnerof the best Margarita in Boston Award for about the last ten years, Vinnie Testa's, Whiskey's Food and Spirits, Abe and Louie's, the Back Bay Brewing Co. and the Atlantic Fish Co. On most evenings, there is a large amountBoylston Street Restaurants of foot traffic in this area and it is very safe to walk around.
