Band's Homepages
Johnny A.'s first solo album is an all instrumental effort with just Guitar, Drums and Bass, but it is not what you would expect. Go to his page to read some great reviews, written much more eloquently that anything I could write. His new album, pictured above, grows on the solid foundation of the first, while exploring vast new worlds.
The Saw Doctors are a very cool Irish band that I first met when I did lights for them at the Channel Club in 1991. They loved the show and have kept in touch over the years. In August of this year, (2000), they asked me to run the lights for them at their show at the Fleet Boston Pavilion. The show was well attended, proving their increasing popularity in this country, and the fans sang along with all their favorites. It was great to see them again, and my pleasure to help out with their show. I wish them all the best and if you ever hear of them playing in your town, do yourself a favor and check them out. Their honest approach and great songs will have you singing along too!
---Update--- They played lots of new tunes, plus all the old favs. They went on stage at 9 PM and were supposed to be off-stage at 11PM. But they played until almost 11:30, (much to the chagrin of the club people, who were helpless to do anything about it) because the huge crowd kept wanting more! This band is very web-savvy. They took this picture of the crowd during the show, and, after the show, before Leo had even changed out of his sweaty stage clothes, he was downloading this photo from their digital camera, and posting it directly to their web-page using two different laptops. I'm sure they won't mind if I show it to you, (even though I'm sure it's already copyrighted). If you've never seen the Saw Doctors...can all these rabid fans be wrong?
One of the best Boston rock bands around in the late 70's and early 80's, The Stompers used to sell out venues all over New England from small clubs to large clubs like the Channel and the Paradise. Now Sal and the Boys are back! Check out their website for a band history, gig schedules and order their 17 song CD which includes all their hits.
Pete has a new album out, "Sleepless". Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are among the guest artists. Pete's playing the Paradise, in Boston, on November 22nd, 2002.

Full of great Flash animations and interactive stuff. Check it out! UPDATE June 29th, 2001
I was a guest of Lighting Designer Jim Chapman. The whole show was a gigantic success. From the sound, which was great, to the lighting, (my specialty)(Jim Chapman is an old friend), which was awesome, to the band's performance, (You'd never know they're in their 50"s) which was stellar, I can't say enough good things about this show. I got to watch the show from the lighting position, right behind Jim. (I think the best seat in the house) Jim's "Slash and Burn" style of lighting served the band well, the rig looked great, and I often found myself thinking that back when I was running lights, If I had had access to all these toys, this is the show I could have had a chance to run. He didn't miss a trick, used every bit of the potential of the system, and had impeccable timing all night long. The show was the best show around these parts in a looong time!
Dokken Central
Wild Mick's page is not working right now, heard he's moving it to a new server. Dokken has a new guitar player, as George Lynch left to do his own thing with the Lynch Mob.
Bim Skala Bim
Dick Dale, the "Father of the Surf
Guitar" has a great personal website. I spent over
half an hour reading his write-ups of his recent shows
and history.
